Allison Williams turned heads on Monday, October 20, at the Los Angeles premiere of Regretting You, the upcoming film based on Colleen Hoover’s bestselling novel, channeling ’90s minimalism with a modern glow. Celebrity makeup artist Jenna Kristina was behind the timeless glam, drawing inspiration from the actress’s red vintage Jean Galliano dress—and it’s holiday glam goals.
“We wanted the makeup to echo that effortless aesthetic of the ’90s—clean, glowy skin, soft eyeliner and barely-there lips,” Kristina shared.
To sculpt and define, the MUA used Maybelline Lifter Stix Multi-Use Face Stick ($13), a dual-ended cream bronzer and highlighter designed to lift and enhance natural bone structure. She applied the product along the cheekbones, jawline and forehead to subtly shape the face “without looking overdone.” The creamy texture blended seamlessly into the skin, creating dimension, while keeping the finish fresh and radiant.
Williams certainly isn’t the only fan of the product. “Coverage is light to medium with a dewy finish,” shares one 47-year-old reviewer of the “buttery” multipurpose stick. “Very creamy and easy to blend. Buildable. I set it because I like a less shiny finish on my skin and it looks luminous. I’m 47 with mildly aging skin and I don’t find that it settles in lines.”
Kristina then topped the look with Maybelline Sunkisser Multi-Use Liquid Blush and Bronzer ($12), adding just the right amount of warmth to tie the entire glam together.
