There are plenty of skin-care meets makeup hybrid products on the market right now, but not all of them deliver on both fronts. It can be hard to promote solid skin-care benefits while also working makeup miracles. We recently asked skin-care experts who’ve tried their fair share of hybrid products to share their favorite formulas they use themselves and recommend to their clients. Get ready to add a lot of multitasking products to your cart.

Both Susca and Yaffa noted that this ceramide and peptide-packed lip gloss is a favorite. It features “five ceramides for hydration and moisturizing and two peptides for rejuvenating the lips,” says Yaffa. Not to mention, the gorgeous shades it comes in. In addition to that luminous hydration, your skin is protected with broad-spectrum zinc, shielding against UVA/UVB rays. I’ve tried lots of mineral sunscreens and nothing beats that dewy finish that leaves the skin looking lit from within.”
Clarins Lip Perfector 2-in-1 Lip and Cheek Color Balm ($30)
Logan says her favorite hybrid product has to be Clarins’ lip perfectors. The formula smoothes, hydrates, plumps and boosts radiance for a healthy-looking glow on lips and cheeks.

It hydrates, protects and perfects in one step,” says Peterson. “I love how the mineral SPF keeps my skin shielded with no white-cast, while the soft tint evens my complexion. It’s especially great for those with oilier skin types due to its matte finish.”

While this might technically cross into hair-care territory, Yaffa loves this all-in-one eyelash serum, conditioner and mascara. It lengthens, hydrates and strengthens lashes with peptides and botanical extracts while also working as a solid mascara.
Rejuvi Tinted Facial Sunscreen SPF 40 ($25)
“The Rejuvi Tinted Facial Sunscreen is an extension of your daily skin-care regimen. Lenox & Sixteenth The Preservationist Vitamin C Serum ($249)
“The Preservationist is the perfect primer for the skin before any makeup application. The most glowing feedback I received from makeup artists has been that it’s truly the best primer they have used to prep the skin before applying other products,” says Peterson. “It delivers the most luminous, hydrating glow that makeup melts seamlessly into. It’s more than just skin care; it’s the golden standard of primers.”
