Launch List: The Best New Beauty Products in October featured image

Hundreds of products come across our editors’ desks every month, but not all of them deliver on their claims or live up to the hype. (Not everything that goes viral on TikTok is a miracle worker.) This is our exclusive curation of the best-in-class beauty products receiving rave reviews from our team and hitting shelves right now. From Prada Beauty’s chic hand cream to Rhode’s logo under-eye patches (both of which will be at the top of many holiday wish lists), we’ve got the inside scoop on all the newness.

The Best New Beauty Products This Month

Prada Beauty Prada Hand Triple Care Hand Cream ($60)

Have you ever seen a hand cream so chic? This ergonomic “liquid balm for your hands” was designed to bring “Prada’s high-concept beauty vision to one of the most functional parts of your daily routine.” And as we move into cooler weather, this will be a product we’re reaching for on the regular.

Infused with 2-percent niacinamide, biotin, shea butter and iris extract (iris lends a pretty scent), it not only hydrates dry hands, but also helps soften cuticles and strengthen nails. Housed in a triangle bottle like the brand’s best-selling Paradoxe fragrances, this hand treatment makes it own fashion statement.

Face Reality Soothing Radiance Toner ($32)

Toners are back in a big way this year, and this is a new one to try. Designed with the brand’s acne-prone clients in mind (like all of its products), but helpful for just about every skin type, it “bridges the gap between cleansing and treatment, optimizing the state of skin for better results, while minimizing the appearance redness and restoring natural radiance.”

“What makes this toner so special is its perfect balance of versatility and targeted results,” says Alex Hernandez, senior manager of education innovation. “This is a product that absolutely anyone can benefit from, especially those experiencing sensitivity or redness. It’s packed with ingredients like licorice root, centella asiatica and panthenol, making it a powerhouse for strengthening the skin and evening out tone.”

LYS Beauty Bright Start Creamy Buildable Airbrush Concealer ($24)

Ultra-buttery, lightweight and vegan, this sponge-tip concealer gives medium-to-full coverage that looks natural, never cakey. But, what’s really cool is that you can remove the sponge tip and use the needle-nose tip underneath instead if preferred. Available in 26 shades, it’s loaded with hyaluronic acid, niacinamide and green tea extract to brighten, hydrate and smooth as it covers.

“This isn’t just another concealer—it’s the one you’ll keep reaching for, day after day,” says Tisha Thompson, founder and CEO. “We took everything people loved about our original concealer formula and leveled it up with even more customizable coverage, a weightless feel and skin-care ingredients. Whether you’re spot-concealing, brightening under-eyes or doing a full beat, this formula is made to move with you and accommodate your lifestyle. And with a built-in sponge and precision tip, it’s made for real life, real routines and real results.”

Brazil Edition Restorative Peptide Leave-In Treatment ($29)

Created by Brazilian hairstylist Rogério Cavalcante, this new brand is getting buzzing in beauty circles right now. Of its two products that just hit the market at launch (there’s also a great mask), this leave-in conditioner is my favorite.

Providing frizz taming, heat protection and shine, the formula is made with the brand’s proprietary Molecular Repair Technology and Strengthening Peptide Complex to also deliver effective damage control—it’s great for color-treated hair. Though it’s rich with Amazonian plant butters, it doesn’t weigh down fine hair, and we love the fruity-floral fragrance.

Colleen Rothschild Beauty Moisture Veil Silk Emulsion ($48)

Nowhere near a basic moisturizer, this formula highlights the brand’s Reverse Emulsion Technology to deliver deep, lasting hydration into the skin. This means the cream actually “wraps water droplets inside nourishing oils and butter” so the hydrating ingredients (ceramides, squalane and hyaluronic acid) are absorbed more effectively and keep the skin barrier happy.

This is great option for dry, sensitive skin types, and the texture makes it a pleasure to use—it’s soft and silky, not heavy and greasy. It’s designed to keep skin comfortable from morning to night.

Emi Jay Aura Hair + Body Mist in Toasted Sugar ($24)

As a huge fan of the brand’s claw clips (along with dozens of A-listers like Hailey Bieber and Kendall Jenner), we were so excited to see the expansion into hair care, and this mist specifically. Described as a “warm hug on a chilly day,” the Toasted Sugar scent is the perfect gourmand for fall, combining notes of spun sugar, tonka bean, amber and vanilla. But, it also won’t wreck your hair thanks to glycerin and aloe leaf juice, which actually lend a nourishing effect.

Bloomeffects Royal Tulip Hydrating Bi-Phase Tonic ($39)

Created in collaboration with Sarah Palmyra, the “milky toner queen,” this dual-phase formula combines a hydrating moisturizer with a clarifying toner. “Sarah has been on the hunt for the perfect milky toner for years,” founder and CEO Kim van Haaster tells me. “I knew I wanted to work with her on this.”

“The milk phase up top gives you the really hydrating, serum like benefits with colloidal oatmeal, glycerin, almond oil. The clarifying phase is powered by blue gardenia, which gives it the beautiful blue color, and niacinamide, our proprietary Dutch Tulip Complex and more. Shake it up and it turns into this really creamy, milky toner. It’s so glowy and dewy, but very lightweight.”

Weleda Skin Food Body Wash ($10)

The brand’s beloved Skin Food now comes in a body wash formula, which is super creamy and skin-friendly, containing a high concentration of plant oils for seriously smooth skin. Plus, we can’t get enough of the botanical scent, which comes from natural essential oils and plant extracts, including sweet orange, lavender and benzoin.

“We’ve taken the iconic Skin Food formula and reimagined it for the shower,” says Elyse Goldweitz, director of marketing, North America. “Powered by our signature botanical blend of chamomile, calendula, rosemary and pansy, it hydrates as it cleanses, leaving skin immediately soft, smooth and refreshed. Glycerin and carrageenan work synergistically to pull in and retain moisture for optimal results. It’s a new way to experience the nourishing ritual that has made Skin Food a trusted favorite for nearly a century.”

PCA SKIN MGF (Micro Growth Factor) Age Renewal Cream ($161)

If you love the brand’s Pro Max Age Renewal Serum (a 2024 NewBeauty Award winner), you’ll love this collagen-boosting moisturizer, too. Made for mature skin experiencing advanced signs of aging like volume loss, laxity, thinning and extreme dryness, the creamy formula utilizes the brand’s patent-pending Micro Growth Factor Technology to help support collagen production.

It’s also super hydrating, and in a clinical study on menopausal and postmenopausal women, it provided instant hydration and helped reduce dry patches over time by 54 percent. It also helps with hot flashes, a physical symptom of menopause, in that it provides a “lasting cooling sensation and significantly reducing visible redness in just one week.”

Kat Burki Amino Protein Mask ($190)

Much more than a standard mask, this multitasking treatment is a great pick for mature skin and does everything from smooth fine lines to boost your glow in just 10 minutes. Backed by clinical trials and formulated with cutting-edge botanicals, this silky mask feels so good on the skin and can be used weekly or as often as needed for visible results.
“I developed this mask to tap into the body’s innate collagen reproducing ability and the powerful effects of cellular repair,” says founder and formula innovator Kat Burki. “Collagen depletion doesn’t need artificial intervention; it needs intelligent activation. Our three-step rejuvenation science is a longer-lasting alternative to skin-tightening treatments, like radio frequency, injectables or lasers.”

rhode Peptide Eye Prep (Launching October 9, $25)

The next big launch from Hailey Bieber’s billion-dollar brand, these hydrating eye masks not only soothe delicate under-eye skin after a long night, but also prep it for makeup. Loaded with peptides, caffeine, glycerin and moisturizing sodium PCA, they feel so cool and refreshing, so you get an instant cooling effect—no ice roller required. We have no doubt this will be a very coveted stocking stuffer this season.

Meri Stori Soft Swipe Lipstick ($20)

This brand may be new to the beauty community but its founder isn’t. Content creator Arshia Moorjani has been pumping out beauty content for years (she was even featured in NewBeauty magazine back in 2018!). After testing just about every makeup product there is, Moorjani saw a gap in the market for inclusive, high-performance color cosmetics and decided to fill it herself. Honoring her South Asian heritage, Meri Stori launched this month with two products (lipstick and lip liner) and a 4,200-person waitlist, and there is much more to come.

The lipstick comes in four shades, has a really pretty satin finish and feels super comfortable on the lips (no dryness or feathering). “Soft Swipe is my dream lipstick: buttery, bold and in beautiful shades,” says founder Moorjani. “I reach for it every time because it glides on effortlessly, feels weightless and gives a satin finish that is pure perfection.”

Prequel Gleanser + Glycolic Non-Drying Glycolic Acid Cleanser ($20)

We fell in love with the brand’s OG Gleanser back in 2023, and since then the brand has expanded to include a version with salicylic acid, and now another one with glycolic acid. For those with mature skin who want a bit of gentle exfoliation in their cleansing routine, this formula combines 50-percent glycerin with 5-percent glycolic acid, and won’t dry out your skin. In fact, the Gleanser (glycerin cleanser) is clinically tested to provide 24-hour moisture!

“Glycolic acid has so many incredible benefits: It promotes brighter, firmer-looking skin, helps refine skin tone and texture, and using it regularly can give you a satisfying glow,” says founder and dermatologist Samantha Ellis, MD. This gleanser formula gives you the benefits of glycolic acid in a gentle, barrier-supporting cleanser—without stripping the skin of moisture.”

Irene Forte Skincare Bio-Peptide Lip Treatment ($45)

Not your average lip treatment, this science-backed one contains the brand’s Lipo-HA Complex, a clinical-grade blend of hyaluronic acid and olive-derived triglycerides for multilevel hydration. Dry lips will feel quenched all season long!

“I’ve always loved a lemon and mint sorbet—there’s nothing more refreshing, and it instantly takes me back to summers in Sicily,” says founder Irene Forte, noting that the balm is infused with a clean, food-grade Limone e Menta aroma. “That was the starting point: to create something uplifting and sensory that transports you to the Mediterranean. But as with all of our products, it also had to perform at the highest level. I’ve never liked heavy, sticky lip products, so I developed a formula that’s silky, light and never tacky, yet still deeply hydrating and protective. Powered by science-backed actives, it doesn’t just feel beautiful—it truly works.”

Shark Beauty FacialPro Glow ($400)

No time for monthly facial appointments? This innovative device developed with dermatologists gives you spa-worthy results at home, keeping pores clean and skin hydrated. “We set out to completely reimagine the facial experience, with Shark’s first at-home facial that gives spa-level results in the palm of your hand,” says chief marketing officer Kleona Mack. “Powered by breakthrough technology, it delivers visible, high-level results in just 10 minutes–no appointment needed. It’s self-care made smarter–to power on your skin care.”

Use the Depuffi attachment to depuff and refresh after a workout or a long night (it goes hot or cold in an instant), and the exfoliating attachment to gently resurface. In clinical studies, it proved to reduce pore visibility, support skin barrier repair and boost hydration by 128-percent after just one use. Plus, the dual-tank system on this device keeps the clean and dirty water separate, so you can see all the gunk from your skin in the tank post-use.

Trinny London Naked Ambition ($86)

Trinny London and her team set out a few years ago to create a product that would allow people to wear less foundation (look better “naked”) and provide an overall brightness to the skin, especially for people who wear foundation to hide redness. “When we looked at which ingredients could tackle that, the most obvious one was vitamin C because we know it will take away dullness, help gently with pigmentation and give a brightness to the complexion,” she explains. “We also love azelaic acid as an ingredient, and we’d looked at some clinical papers on exosome azelaic acid, and that became our delivery system.”

This silky serum contains 10-percent slow-release vitamin C and 10-percent azelaic acid in the brand’s “global first innovation” lab-engineered exosome delivery system. “This combination can be used by every skin type, including sensitive,” London adds. “We’ve seen amazing results, including a 46-percent reduction in redness after six weeks.”

Tilt Beauty The Easy Way Effortless Lip Liner ($26)

From the first beauty brand to hold the Arthritis Foundation Ease of Use certification comes this new ergonomic lip liner that features a patented, grippy handle to provide a more comfortable, controlled application. An innovative and helpful option for those with arthritis, chronic pain or shaky hands (though anyone can benefit), the lip liner glides on easily and comes in six versatile shades. It’s also refillable!

“Growing up with psoriatic arthritis, I’ve personally struggled with makeup products that require precision due to shaky hands,” says founder Aerin Glazer, who launched the company at age 21. “When creating this Lip Liner, I wanted to design something that creates a better experience for everyone. It was important for me to ensure the formula delivered high-performance color payoff that is smooth, blendable and long-wearing, while remaining nourishing and gentle on lips. My goal was for the product to be functional yet sleek and design-forward, with accessibility built into every touchpoint.”

Avène Tolerance Foaming Facial Cleanser ($20)

A new gentle foaming cleanser from one of our favorite French pharmacy brands, this formula is a great option for anyone with dry or sensitive skin who experiences redness, itchiness, dryness or that frustrating tight feeling. It’s fragrance-free and removes daily grime while also providing hydration.

“Our new cleanser contains hydrating glycerin, soothing niacinamide and our signature Thermal Spring Water, which contains a unique postbiotic microflora that is clinically proven to soothe, soften and calm skin,” says Cheryl Barry, director of medical affairs and KOL engagement for Avène. “It’s soap-free, it lathers nicely and it can also be used after in-office treatments on vulnerable skin.”
