From the clothing and the fragrance to the makeup and the skin care, there is no shortage of all things Victoria Beckham in the world of beauty and fashion. Now, new data suggests that the “Victoria Beckham Effect” may be even more powerful than we imagined.
In the wake of the release of Victoria Beckham’s new Netflix documentary, Victoria Beckham, interest in her signature beauty aesthetic is surging. According to an analysis of Google search data by the team at Fresha, searches for “Victoria Beckham smoky eye” have jumped 214 percent in the past week alone.
Hair and makeup expert Danielle Louise, who works with the beauty and wellness booking platform, says Beckham’s renewed influence marks a return to “structured simplicity” in both hair and makeup.
“Victoria’s look is the definition of a modern classic,” says Louise. “Her lob is sharp but wearable, it flatters every face shape, and her smoky eye is softer now, more diffused. It’s power-dressing in beauty form.”
Louise also says this isn’t necessarily the smoky-eye look of Posh’s past.
“Beckham’s signature eye look has evolved, and fans are taking note. Her new smoky eye is all about soft browns and lived-in texture,” she continues. “It’s sultry but not severe. Think blended liner, natural lashes and a nude lip to balance it.”
Lucky for us, even without some David on our side, there is Victoria Beckham Beauty. The luxurious line is known for its well-appointed portfolio, including award-winning liners, palettes, eyeshadow pots and more.
