What does it take to become a brand ambassador for one of the most iconic hair care and color brands to date? For Lindsay Lohan, her laundry list of blockbusters, candid, relatable off-screen persona and a legacy of great hair did the trick. Mean Girls star Lindsay Lohan was announced as the newest brand ambassador for world-class hair-care empire, Schwarzkopf, and the collaboration is one long in the making.
Lindsay Lohan Joins the Schwarzkopf Family
From celebrity hairstylists like Chris Appleton to fellow movie stars like Sofía Vergara, Lohan is in good company as she joins the ranks of the Schwarzkopf team. “Schwarzkopf, an authority in hair for over 125 years, is proud to announce Lindsay Lohan as its newest Brand Ambassador,” the brand wrote in a press release. “This partnership celebrates Lohan’s longstanding relationship with Schwarzkopf Professional’s very own Tracey Cunningham, the iconic celebrity colorist who has been coloring her hair for over two decades.”
While we often think of Lohan’s fiery red strands à la The Parent Trap and Freaky Friday, Lohan has had her fair share of trend-shaping hair transformations, and her career-long collaboration with Cunningham is largely to thank. “Tracey is more than my colorist—she’s a trusted creative partner,” Lohan said on the collaboration. “Whether I’m in a new movie or walking a red carpet, there’s only one shot to get my hair color right and it’s often a really tight turnaround. Tracey is the ultimate collaborator, and I love that she takes the time to explain what products she uses and why. I learned about Schwarzkopf through Tracey because the result is so incredible every time and it’s now the only brand I trust in the salon.”
