From caramel-flan highlights to shades of brown-coconut sugar, Amal Clooney is the reigning queen of enviable good-hair days—complete with color that sounds good enough to eat. The latest delicious hue we love: Pecan pie.
Created by celebrity hairstylist and colorist Dimitris Giannetos (he also worked double-duty on makeup), Clooney’s “Portofino Glam” for the Jay Kelly premiere the Venice Film Festival oozed elegance with a subtle nod to the Italian Riviera.
“I kept Amal’s hair color warm, with a beautiful pecan pie hair color,” says Giannetos. “We added fresh, summery Italian-inspired waves. The waves really accentuate her beautiful hair color.”
For the product lineup, Giannetos shares that he relied on the hair holy grail L’Oréal Paris Elnett Satin Strong Hold Hairspray ($16) and L’Oréal Paris Elvive Glycolic Gloss High Shine Leave-In Serum ($8) to give the hair “extra smooth shine.”
Under makeup notes, a simple direction to sync up with Clooney’s striking pink dress: “I wanted to keep Amal’s makeup fresh with a hint of pink and shimmer,” says Giannetos, who used a full Charlotte Tilbury lineup, including the Airbrush Flawless Foundation ($49), Lipstick Matte Revolution Lipstick in Pillow Talk ($35), Unreal Blush Stick in Rosy Glow ($42), and the new Airbrush Flawless Setting Spray Matte ($38).
And for the almighty skin prep for the big night: According to 111SKIN, Clooney received the brand’s exclusive Black Diamond Non-Surgical Lift Facial ahead of the premiere. The luxurious anti-aging experience includes a resurfacing facial peel, followed by an advanced layering of products enriched with brightening and firming actives and targeted massage techniques.
