Throughout the course of her decorated career, Julia Roberts has undergone some of the most awe-inspiring hair transformations, but when we think of the Pretty Woman actress, our minds will always go first to her signature red strands. While the 57-year-old film star has experimented with countless cuts and colors throughout her career, her warm, dimensional red has become one of the most iconic in Hollywood, but that’s not to say she’s done experimenting in the world of copper hues. For the Venice Film Festival this week, Roberts debuted an ultra-shiny foxy red hair refresh that her longtime colorist Kadi Lee (@highbrowhippie) says is her favorite look to date.

Julia Roberts’ New ‘Deep Golden Copper’ Is the Ultimate Fall Hair Inspiration

Making her debut on the Venice Film Festival red carpet in support of her upcoming project, After the Hunt, Roberts sported a floor-length navy gown that moved effortlessly with her seaside carpet strut, but we couldn’t take our eyes off her radiant hair, and neither could Lee, who created the look.

“Inspired by the technicolor glow and range of autumn, this was created by flash painting hand-selected pieces to frame Julia’s face, with heavy low-lighting throughout the interior to maintain depth and dimension, finishing with an intense deep golden copper gloss and my new secret weapon, Highbrow Hippie’s upcoming Instant Silk Vitality Mask,” Lee explained in the caption. “We’ve done our fair share of reds over many years, but the moment we finished I knew this was my absolute favorite,” Lee said of the quintessential autumnal shade.
