Kristen Stewart: From Twilight to Snow White, this young actress is taking Hollywood by storm
Kristen Stewart, who burst on the scene as Jodie Foster’s daughter in
David Fincher’s “Panic Room” in 2002, plays Snow White in the new Snow
White and the Huntress movie alongside Chris Hemsworth (The Huntsman)
and the ever-beautiful Charlize Theron (Ravenna). The young actress,
who turned 22 in April, has acted in numerous movies, most notably as
Bella Swan in the Twilight Saga. With this darker take on the classic
Snow White fairytale, Stewart steps into a new role that may reach a
different audience. While the teenage angst of the Twilight series
attracted a large audience, the series was viewed differently by many
males and older movie-goers. The dark nature of the Snow White story
will attract a new audience, even if some of the men are just showing up
to see Charlize Theron steal other women’s beauty (as if she needs to).
It is interesting that those Grimm fairytales go from a dark tale to
becoming Disney-fied, and back to a darker tale. The soundtrack for
Snow White and the Huntress also features a new song from Florence + the Machine. Florence + the Machine is on tour in the United States and Canada this year, and are rising stars of their own.
Kristen Stewart, who has also been romantically linked to her
Twilight co-star Robert Pattinson, is starring in a new Twilight movie
that will be released in 2012. After winning “best kiss” at the MTV
Movie Awards in 2012 for her smooch with Pattinson in The Twilight Saga:
Breaking Dawn Part 1, it is easy to see that passion like that can’t be
faked. Or can it? You won’t get any confirmation from Stewart: “I
always say to myself I’m never going to give anything away because
there’s never any point or benefit for me. I guarantee whenever I get
married or have a baby, everyone is going to want to know my kid’s name
and I’m not going to say it for ages.”
